Have you checked to make sure the adapter has not become loose from the back of your stb, you could also try a different lan cable to make sure its not that (or try the cable on something else to verify that it is working)
Let us know what you find

Check the serial code entered - occasionally they change magically or install wiznet on pc, hook receiver to pc & see what version you have. http://www.ftaconcept.com/showthread.php?t=51537

Are you sure it is connected securely... I always suggest using a straight thru cable to connect the dongle to the receiver..so you do not have to worry about it coming loose....
If you have the latest file on the receiver.. and it connected via.. HardWire... ethernet cable from router/modem to Dongle.... and reboot the receiver... see if it shows netework adapter connected... U might have to try more than one time..... let us know.. good luck.... txsgent

It could also be that dreaded 82 Problem which I had myself.
You need to load Wiznet to your computer to check it out.
If it is the 82 problem there are guides that explain step by step how to restore your hub!

I am not sure what the problem is... once it is setup.... I have a friend. .that disconnects.. a SV Elite and puts other receivers in its place all the time.. and never has any issues of connecting or not connecting, when they hook it back up...
I can only suggest this.... it could be a bad download or a bad install...
or a possible bad connection.. defective ethernet cable.. if you are going wireless connection.. that is more than likely the issue... not a fan of wireless.. for that reason... jmo.. on that..
Delete out your factory and lastest 3rd party file on your computer and on your flash drive...
make sure all traces are gone... by doing a search on your computer...
Redownload the factory file and the lastest 3rd party file...

Write down all settings for each satellite you have... unless you absolutely know them by heart...
Do a Factory Default...
Load Factory File...
http://www.ftaconcept.com/showthread.php?t=42500
factory default.. do a hard reboot with the rear switch of the receiver...
Load the latest 3rd party file...
http://www.ftaconcept.com/showthread.php?t=74728
Factory Default.... do a hard reboot with rear switch
Redo.. all setttings again.. setting up one satellite.. at a time scan it.. then do the next satellite.. redo the time settings....
Now. go into your network settings... and make sure you have the correct serial #.. for your receiver... if you have one.... if not.... where you input the serial number..
highlite.. hit ok... and a keypad should pop up and you can type in this.. instead....in lower case letters NO CAPS
svjapan
exit out and save... make sure you are on.. akai japan public server...
.. turn off receiver with rear switch.. .make sure all is connected securely.. turn back on.. and go back into Network...see if it says... in STATUS... connected... make sure you are on DHCP.. which auto finds your IP address...
Good luck..... let us know.. how that works out... txsgent
