Any tips on getting Shaw Direct (Canadian Sat).Do I need a special LNB or a Shaw Direct Receiver?Ive been trying to lock on to 107.3w or 111.1w,I can't seem to find anything.Im useing a spitfire linear LNB and a CNX mini (yea,I know, I wont get any HD).

Shaw took over Star Choice .

You will need there receiver and there dish is best ..not much..part of install .

i know a few people that use them,
the price is good,
never heard of anybody getting it with fta,
but it is linear,
and yes,their lnb is best,its built to get both sats with single lnb

Im attempting to test...Digacypher II.Cant seem to find Sat with my CNX mini.I can locate the Macys still frame or test page on 105w, so I know Im close.I'll have to look into this further, but Im considering buying their receiver to test further.

Sh@w Direct uses DigiCipherII, which is not compatible with DVB-s, or DVB-S2 receivers. You'll know you're on Anik-F1R if you can get one DVB-S transponder that shows Saskatchewan educational system on it. all the other transponders are DCII.

I forget the frequency that I found it on... I still dont' have my motorized dishes back up since I moved this month. It's not listed in Lyngsat, but I found it when i connected my receiver after moving in to this house and the existing sh@w dish was left-behind by the previous owners. I've since re-aimed that dish to 101/99. Give me another couple of weeks, if you need that info
