39 didn't help - I put in on the channel that I wanted - rebooted, and recorded several 24s, changed channels - all scrambled again - is installed correctly - seperate wires for each reciever - used to work fine - I am stumped

could be the switch... a cable.. a connection... I would check all of them... and make sure... bypass the switch using a barrel connector for each sat... see if it works that way.. .if it does... then it is the switch or the settings...it could also be a grounding issue... no ground.. can cause switch issues too.... good luck, keep us posted.. txsgent

txsgent is absolutely correct. This totally sounds like a grounding issue. You have to ground the dish, and the coax cables to a grounding block. Then, of course, ground the grounding block right down to a basement ground somewhere. Even if it used to work fine, but, now you have a grounding issue. Sounds like it's damp somewhere in the cables now where it wasn't before.
That's all...
