I have the Captain 8000 HD and have yet to see any HD channels on Bev other than the preview HD channels.I know I can't get any on DN without add-on hardware, but should on Bev.Right?Am I the only one not gettin these or is this normal with current bins?Just wondering.
You need to post up your configuration.... You will need 2 LNB's one aiming at 82(HD) and the other at 91(STD)... If you only have 1 LNB... then you are SOL.... and an LNB with 2 outpurt doesn't work that way.
I have two dishs.I do have 2 lnb's,one pointed at 110 & one at 119 on one dish for DN.Where I'm picking up HD for Bev is off my other Bell dish that feeds my Bev HD receiver.I have a line runnin off the dual 82 LMB to feed into my disq 4 switch than to the Captain. The other line from that same LNB feeds the Bev switch22.It's strange that I can get Bev HD preview channels on the Captain but not any other HD channels.I'm wondering if that's my problem but shouldn't be with 2 lines coming off a dual to 2 independent switches.Thoughts anyone?
If you have a dish pointed at 82 and are able to dowload all the channels to your receiver from that bird then you should be able to receive the channels once you tune to them so long as your configuration is right on your receiver and diseq switch. For example I have a small seperate dish just for my hd channels pointed at 82. I am running off port 4 on my diseq switch but it doesn't manner which port you are ono so long as you have it set up for that port on your receiver (ie. port 4 on mine). Having said all this BEv is down right now so oyu won't be able to get these channels until a new file is made available by Captain which from what i have read may be a while as they along with the other receiver coders are working on a more permanent solution to the current outages we have been having recently. They say it may take as long as several weeks to do this. Hope this answers your questions.
