How do you enter the key manually as mentioned in the last fix?

Hit exit twice in the remote control.
From there, you will have to navigate following icons

Do konw how to change the keys? Press exit twice then the screen pops up then say edit keys but has a bunch of letters and don't really know where to go from there. need help Thanks

^ from there just read the screen... press the edit key button, then enter the key.... the letters and numbers are Hex numbers... Use software posted in the software section to retreive updated keys (Some other websites post them) and then type them in...

look at the screen, you will see that the Fav,Sat,EPG,Step, etc... keys are used for the letters and the the number keypad for the numbers... It's easy once you get the hang of it....

Play around, you can't hurt anythying

Which set of keys are for B?

And which set are for D?

I want to enter B keys manually but not sure which ones they are. I have the latest keys just dont know where to enter them...

Does anyone know it Captain will ever come up with an option to update keys either USB or Serial with some kind of loader program. I have a Coolsat 5000 also and can upload the keys with the loader program... Sooo much easier than manually doing it.

you have to load keys manually with captains... and keys are always seperated by service provider... as for entering keys I posted a how to a few posts up...
