Default Sonicview Internet HUB and Magic Board on it's way...

word is that Sonicview is almost ready to show their hand at what they have, one is a HUB that will work with the 360 series models and the other is the magic board, not sure if the magic board will work with all models...

If the magic card works.. it will work on the 360's and the 8000HD receivers only... the rest, like the 4000, etc.. would have to go with the hub access.. is my understanding.. because, they do not have that special location, internally, that the 360's and 8000 have.. but this is all speculation, until I actually see it working...
Here is a pic of the magic board, if that helps with the rumor of it.. lol

Thanks for the info and I hope that is not just a sales pitch. Well I think it is very possible as Kbox, captain, neosat, coolsat and now Ilink have done the dongle thing.

Wow those prices are not cheap though. $129 for the dongle and $110 for the board.

Has anyone seen any info about space for the magic card and the A-1 8psk module?
Can both be installed in a SV8000?

jeff, it is my understanding, and this is rumours.. not facts.. that according to what I have read, the magic board will miracuously, fit in the 8000 and 360s.. all the others.. I have not heard or read anything about.. except, that they are working on making the magic board work on those 3 models... How close they are.. no one knows.. will they succeed, we will just have to wait and see..we all are in limbo on this.. txsgent

Thanks for all the info. I guess that it is a wait and see approach for now. I guess that I can hold out hope that I will still be able to use my SV 360.

CP

There are still plans and development and testing being done with the Majic Board when it is 100% ready it will be released , The ihub/ dongle solution was the best option at this time so it was released .
