Really need HELP PLEASE!!!

Ok so i purchased a CW700s from a friend which he set up and installed...i liked everything it had to offer so i decided to upgrade to the CW Ultima...keeping the same setup on the outside i figured i can just switch boxes and set the new Ultima up. Will this work???Well im sure i have the 119 and 110 sat because thats what i pick up when im looking for a satallite(they pop up on the bottom saying found sat Echo 119 and Echo6-8 110...Guys any help as far as tuning this baby up to get all the channels would be a big help. I followed the steps from txsgent on how to get it done but when i did i got bunch of channels and just 1 channel was all i was able to view...From what i see on the outside they are 2 single round LNB's. LNB 1 is connected and LNB 2 is connected. I am in the Hawthorne, CA area if that helps....

Press f1 then 000 on your remote to enable the patch, then leave the receiver on channel 239 for about 15 minutes. Post back if that does not work.

Also....Welcome to the Site. Do you use any switches ? If so, make sure you setup your port correctly on your settings.

Ok so I finally enabled the patch but now im getting the weak signal screen, I can't even press 239. so know im gonna re scan the sat again to c if that works. QUestion? Outta curiosity is there a precise way of know what Sat one has? example Echo star(119)?

239 is a channel #. To see what Sat has what channel, go to UFCWatcher's signatures and ckick on one those there. You'll see.
What kind of dish and LNB do you have ? Make sure you have both Sats in the Sat Verification. Either top or bottom right corner of your screen.

So as far as switches go i doubt im using any...All i have is the splitter that came in the box and 2 LNB's...ok so here a stupid question how would i verify the Sats im using are applied??Baby steps please this is my 3rd day and night working on this and i know lots of people feel my pain...well just to update everyone i updated the chanels after applying the patch and now i get is a weak signal...man is there any other setting i should be changing??? and as far as UFC watchers signatures i clicked on them and im more confused than anything all i get is a channel listings...

What Bin should i have??? I have the newest one....im thinking of starting from scratch and factory reset everything, i think i changed to many things...

sky, welcome to the site.. if you are using the DiseqC "SWITCH" that came with the receiver.. you are using a switch.. If you had an existing CW700.. to start with.. your settings should be pretty much the same...
You go into Antenna Setup.. you say, you have 2 single dual lnbs.. going to the DiseqC switch that came with the receiver.. correct?
Make sure.. sitting behind the dish.. that LNB hitting 119.. which is on the left ... is connected to PORT 1 (LNB 1).. on the switch.. and that the LNB on the right sitting behind the dish.. is connected to PORT 2... Now you have to know, if you have Have Legacy LNBs.. which is Normal...for LNB Type.. or you have Dish Pro or DPPLus LNBs and that is OCS-DP.. you have one or the other you could verify that by going to your CW700 and checking.. since you don't seem to know.. it helps to know what you have.. much easier to give advice.. .now.. try on 119... Normal and then use these settings
Satellite..........Echostar 7 (119.W)
Transponder...........12239
LNB Freq.................11250
LNB Type.................Normal
22KHz......................OFF if it won't stay... Auto
DiseqC.....................LNB 1
Legacy.....................None
Motorized.................None
If you do not see anything on the quality meter.. and you do not see verification of the Echostar 7, above the quality meter... then change LNB Type from Normal to OCS-DP... see what you get....
let us know.. U have to follow exactly what I said.. go out to the dish and make sure that switch is connected exactly as I said.. then go in and do the Antenna Setup... make sure you turn off the receiver from the rear switch, before connecting or disconnecting any cables.... you will knock out the diodes in the switch, if you don't... then it will be useless.. keep us posted.. txsgent

So i have channels now, the problem is that i only have 97 channels????Any idea how to get bigger numbers???I feel i am close

...also i checked the old 700s and the LNB Type he listed using was Normal...so far im learning a lot more than i started...Thank you all... SO FAR so good

97 channels is not very good for 119... 289 would be good.. but not 97... something is not right..
what channels are you getting? names of them.. and channel # too.. so I can see what satellite you are really on... txsgent

lst you need to go into... Menu, System Settings, System.. and go down to Channel N0. and change that to SID>. so that you have the right channel #s... like HBO W 303..
So, you are definitely on 119 ..
which means either your dish is not aligned correcly or your settings are wrong.. when you were in Antenna settings.. did you have a strong signal on the Quality Meter? did you see verification of the exact same satellite above the Quality Meter? how strong was the signal on the Quality meter?

AHHHH CRAP I ACCIDENTLY MOVED THE NCTS AND NOW ITS SAYS MODE NOT SUPPORTED...I CANT GET BACK INTO THE MENU....THINGS JUST ARENT LOOKING GOOD...MAN! help

The cw ultima 5.02 is just a loader. The newest file was posted 3/31. Is that the one you using? Also i would say to have patience and it will work out. Txs is one of the best and will get you going if you follow directions to a T

ok i figured how to change from PAL back to NTSC....i have to blindly change them....meaning pressing menu than how many times do i press down to sytem settings than pressing ok then sytsem then how many down to NTSC to change?????

YESSSSSSS I FINALLY ACHIEVED SOMETHING ON MY OWN...!!!!!!!!!! I FIXED THE NTSC PROBLEM...MY QUALITY BAR READ 86% WHEN I WAS USING MY 700S IT READ 96%

You really need to slow down. your getting in a hurry.. only makes more steps .. and slows down getting to your goal...
HIt Menu
arrow down 3 times to System Settings..... Hit OK
arrow down 5 times.. you now have TY System and PAL highlighted.. arrow to the right one..
hit ok...
if that does not work. then do a factory default..

Menu.. then Installation is highlighted.. hit OK
Arrow up one time... you are now at the bottom of the screen, with Factory Default highlighted..
hit OK
You now have All highlighted... hit ok again
you are now being asked if you want to save the current data.. it says.. NO.. hit OK>.
It is now asking you, if you want to really continue.. arrow to the right one time.. it now says yes.. hit OK.. let it do its thing.. now redo your settings like this..

select you language... 2 times.. select your timezone.. and turn summer time on...
exit out.. and go into installation.. antenna settings.. and setup each satellite with the correct setttings..
Hit menu... system settimgs... system....
Channel # to SID Make sure Auto TP is ON.. Key UPdate Message is ON..

go into menu accessories.. do Config City for your locals.. on the remote.. hit F1.. then 0 0 0.. to activate the patch.. good luck... slower gets things down quicker.. less mistakes.. txsgent

just like to say thank you to everyone who helped me during this ruff moment...Glad to update that I finally got things going. I changed the transponder and now i got tons of channels...I am missing a couple payper view channels....is this normal???Other than that i am a happy man!!!

Yeah....Some PaperViews...LOLj/k PPV ( Pay-Per-View ) are Scramble and some might have been moved to N-3 already, so it may be normal. But yeah...let us know what or which PPV channels are not coming in /scramble, that way some of us verify the situation.
Glad to see you're making more progress. Enjoy your TV... Make sure you learn how to SHARE your ( NO, not your ) REMOTE with your lady or you're gonna have problem...JMO.
