Default What is need to start in this "Hobby"

OK so you have decided to get started in the world of fta testing and are not sure what you will need to get started well i have created a simple list of the basic thing that you will need to get goin
  1. Reciver of you chioce
  2. Plenty of co axe wire (rg6 cable wire)
  3. Dish and lnbs (number depending on how may sats you want)
  4. Switch
  5. A full day with help of a good friend
  6. Clear path to aim dish (free of trees or house's for max signal)
  7. Good ancor bolts to hold up in bad weather
  8. Compass and or sat finder (gps will work aswell)

I hope this helps you get started after doin some reading here please feel free to ask question this hobby may not be for everyone it does take someoone with great time and an open mind to be patient to LOVE and learn with !

This hobby can be a little mind boggleing but it defently fun to learn!!! Please feel free to ask question about it we try to explain to the best we can !

and its so easy once ya get the hang of it anyone can do it. the longer your in the hobby, you will gain experience to become proficient in it too.

if you already have a dishnet 500 or Bell thats half the battle for initial start up .
all you need is to choose a receiver then.
later you can experiment moving to different sats as you get comfortable along the way.
the possibilities are endless.

Use the largest dish that you have for that bird.
You'll will also need a linear LNB.
A 36" dish is a good size IMO.

is my unit functional right out of the box or do i need to load some sort of file to it?
if i have everything set up right i should be able to just blind scan, right?
