Hi...New to all this

Hello,

I recently purchased the Captain 7000 although I let it sit for a while before I actually connected it. Upon connecting it, it would say Scrambled or No Signal. I read into it a little more and downloaded the new bin file from here and successfully upgraded the bin on the reciever. I unplugged it completely and replugged it back in and has it search for the satellite FTA Channels (Nimiq1 91.0) but it still says they are scrambled. Please let me know if I am going about this right or have left something out. Here is some more info about my setup:

Dish: Standard 18" Directv
LNB: Eagle DTV32+ LNB Freq: 12.2 - 12.7 Probrand
Rec: Captain 7000 Premium
H/V: 1.00
S/V: 7.22
L/V: 1.04
Update Day: Apr. 3, 2008

Any help would be appreciated.

i believe you need a key code that coresponts to the network you are trying to acess. i've done this lastnight and mine works except the epg. google the codes

Make sure your settings in dish setup or antenna settings look something like this;

Nimiq 1,3 91.0W

LNB power = on
LNB type = Single (or what type you have, single should work for your LNB)
LNB freq = 11250
22KHz = off
TP Freq = 12224
Diseqc = Off (Unless you are using a DISEqC switch)
Motor = Off
Legacy SW = None

Then put the receiver on VU channel and leave it there...could take 15 minutes to get the keys and apply them.

also try put on 91 channel hard reboot OFF wait min and back on!!! let sit and pic should com in with the setting csftaforever gave you!

All is working now. I will be installing the switch box and another satellite probably in a few days...just wanted to come over the first obstacle.
