Default broken arrow's problems

Thanks Grashopper. I had the dish and LNB professionally installed. I have for the past five years been able to download the fix, go through installation, chose the correct Sat (110 and 119) and as switch I have Legacy 1 and 2. I know on which Sat the channel is by using the remote (SAT). I have disconnected the plug, switched the receiver off and started all over again with the same result: just few channels. Unfortunately, there is no one in my town now who professionally provide technical services. It is not a big deal right now because I have digital cable, but I do miss my usual channels. Thanks again.

Try this...but make sure you delete all channels before you start. make sure auto TP update is turned off (turn it back on after). In dish setup, change your TP till you get the best signal quality possible...Then do an auto scan of just that sat...exit and save. Do the same for the second sat..Try to do this on a nice clear day...

Hopefully this gets you the missing channels!!

Cheers

You do not hijack a thread that somebody else started with this type of questioning.

I did reply and if you had gone back to check you would see it.

I quess I will have to live without the channels 500 to 560 on my SC5000. Can get no responce. May have to set it aside like I did my Silver Bullet when they changed over to Nagra 2. Well Thanks to every one for past help. I will still monitor Site and if I can help anyone in the Future I will try. I am 71 years old and go back to Dave in Canada. Lost faith in him when I bought a Dream Box 500 and then he wanted to start chargeing 100.00 every 3 months to keep it up and running. I still hae both boxes.
