8000 HD flashes picture on and pix dissapears
I have it plugged in using HDMI and when you turn it on the pix flashes on and dissapears.
Sometimes when I unplug the hdmi at the tv and re-insert it. it stays but now it wont anymore.
Does anybody know what could cause that?

Have you tried bypassing the HDMI and connecting via RG6.. or red/white/yellow cables?

Do you have the right resolution for both the TV and the Receiver?

Do you think it is a bad HDMI cable?

Do you think it is possibly the HD module going bad?

Could be the power supply is also going bad.. you can unplug the receiver.. and remove the cover and look for leaking.. bulging.. blown or blowng Capacitorson the power supply

for the HD Module.. might just need to unplug .. remove the cover.. nd remove the HD module.. clean the contact points and make sure it is dry.. and plug it back in and see if that fixes it..

all process of elimination.. good luck.. keep us posted..

Once the HDMI goes out on the SV8000 there is no getting it back.
Use the component outputs and it should work for you.
It is an HD output the same as a single cable HDMI.
Same quality pictures just 5 cables instead of one.
