My Friends... Jynxbox came.... with an Extention... a small cable.. that plugs into the back of the receiver.... and you have about 3' of cable... with a sensor on the end of it.. That improves.. your remote control range..
I have a friend who tried not using it... and they had to lean forward to get the receiver to recognize the remote... after adding the Sensor Cable... it gave them a much better range...

Installed 212 earlier and tried recording with the PVR with extremely poor results including constant freezing and no success with fast forwarding or rewinding. It still won't play TS recordings from other units but will if converted to avi and others. I must say that of all the PVRs I've tested on many stbs, the Jynxbox is the worst! They have a lot of work to do!

Take care.
You are right, js3811, about the latest firmware! I guess I was just hoping pvr improvements would have been made. Hopefully, more improvements to come!

I have a friend who has the jynxbox... and they tried recording a movie... it had so many freezes on it.. they erased it from the USB Flash drive...
They need to work on fixing that..
I also think... they might need to work a little on either the tuner.... or the sofware.. to fix. the slow channel change from time to time..
who knows maybe they will come out with a version 2 or version 3.. for the tuner...
This is a new receiver... new receivers.. are like.. Windows.. they are shipped with issues... and then worked on.. sometimes they get fixed and sometimes they never get fixed... just the risk you take when you purchase a receiver... jmo

I've only found two that got most PVR issues working right...nfusion HD and Limesat Air HD...even though I have found none that are compatible with each other. The Jynxbox Ultra HD could be the best of the bunch if they resolve their biggest problem, the PVR issues. One of the several great features I described in my earlier evaluation of the receiver was the P$er feature, a Jynxbox exclusive...keeping several P$ers on at the same time and allowing the Jynx to automatically switch to one that is working when changing channels.

I think for recording and watching on the same receiver... that the Sonicview 360 Elite.. is great...
now.. the stopping and rewinding and fast forwarding.. or remembering where you stopped.. I can't say... but I did see.. the recorded movie and it was flawless.. no freezing no nothing...
then a power surge fried my friends 500 gig external hdd...lol..

When pointing out stbs with good PVRs, I was referring only to HDs. The SV8KHD was good but if was difficult to find an external hard-drive that would work.

Hate to burst your bubble but that feature is not exclusive to jynxbox - some others do it to

I didn't say it was exclusive to Jynxbox and know nfusion HD does it through N.O.I. But, since you brought it up, I would appreciate knowing what other HD brands do the same thing? Thanks!

Hmmm I was unaware of the Nanosat HD. Oops! I did say it was a Jynxbox exclusive. My error!

Don't believe either of us said nanosat SE was HD - it is a SD box., only capable of a few server entries.

Hey Sur...my question to you...can you leave all P$er entries ON with the Nano at the same time without getting freezing or micro-freezing? When, I said "exclusive" about the Jynxbox, I guess I was referring to HD boxes only. It's the only one that I have found that allows 1-8 servers ON simutaneously without any problems!

Good question but I don't have a SE model so before I say the wrong thing we'll have to wait for someone that owns one to post. Logically it should let you otherwise the feature would be useless but........................
