C/P. that I also posted in the 700 and 800 sections.... txsgent

CW Japan Group & Dongle sections added!

If you haven't already heard, the Japan group will be supporting some PUBLIC captiveworks models now and will add more later. New forum sections have been created.

Thank all of the users for their votes on who the Japan group should support next. When we posted this we didn't actually think they would take our users advice so quickly. Thanks to the Japan Group also for their continued effort in offering the best support on the market.

Which Brand Should The JAPAN Group Support Next?

Yes, I agree, it would be nice to support the CW3000HD and 4000 as you can get more HD channels etc. with those models!!!!

As a long-term tester of the cw3000 my unit still provides me with all my needs! thru the internet...captiveworks provided updates well after most had faded away, the last was a operating systems upgrade..and if Japan Group does get around to supporting the 3000/4000 units as both use the same files the units could receive said files as before one would think..Best of luck Japan Group!

Cool Second thoughts !!

I guess that, as you wouldn't need a dongle, because these models have an ethernet hookup to the internet, they won't support them because there would be no money to be made selling dongles, and they have to make money!!!!

I am not saying they would support them.. but just selling the Serial Code.. to make it work.. would make them money.... but they would need to have the necessary info.. to make them work... jmo... txsgent

At this time there are no standalone for any receiver. So it would be a IKS system. Regarless if it is in states or out of the country you are NEVER SAFE with this hobby. There are always risks.

Hope I,m not the only one but I don't know exactly what is going on. I'll wait for the files and see how much info is posted. If I can't figure it out I'll start asking dumb questions. Just like the good ole days.

jjjjjj here is something to think about. Dik is not allowed to offer subs in Canada. If would cost them nothing if every man woman & child watched their programing in Canada. Their costs are fixed no matter if one or everyone watches. Now if you watch them for free instead of paying the Canadian equivalent of dik you would be hurting that Canadian company and possibly they might have a claim against you. Who do you think happens to control the Canadian Co?

Coolsats have no support at this time except for p$
You can get a dongle for them here
Code:
http://www.ftasatellitetools.com/XFTA.html
I do not remember the ultima on the list of supported receivers for the CW dongle going to be offered by Japan Group. Maybe they will add it later??
