Default remote control issue for linkbox 9000i

Hello,
I hope everyone is doing good, i have linkbox 9000i and remote control is acting up since yesterday, receiver itself works great, i can change the channels, volume up and down from the receiver but when i push any button on the remote "mute" thing flashes on the tv. Then it goes away after few seconds. i even changed the batteries in the remote. Any help, suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Did you possibly spill something on the remote??
Do you think another device is causing issues with the remote..?

I go with
it is under warranty..

If you have a linkbox 8000 remote it will also work.
You can test the remote by looking at the end that points at the tv through a digital camera or cell phone camera. Each time you push a button you should see a flash in the view finder. Make sure there are fresh batteries in the remote. If the remote is working then it's possible the emitter receiver on the linkbox went bad.

i did change the batteries, i left it alone for about 4 hours and just checked about 30 minutes ago, it's working great. i went ahead and bought another one from the manufacturer, i always like to keep an extra one i am sure my little ones will break it again. This is an amazing box.
Thank you once again for replying so quickly and helping me out, this is the best site.

Ismart remotes did the same thing for some people I know. You had to put the batteries in & let it sit for a bit before it would start to work. Maybe there is small a storage capacitor that needs to charge before they start to work. Glad you got yours working.

sometimes if u count too 20 to 30 sec when you use rear switch to off (30s)then 0n ( at the least)will do more than just quick on/ off for some reason! its worked for me ! more than 1 time ! for many issue s ! worth a try !!

may be that did the trick because i did power it down with the rear switch and left it alone for few hours. it was weird, that never happened before but i am glad it's working now.
thanks

It is recommended when hard booting to wait 10/15 sec. before turning back on - and it does make a difference!
