Bad Switch? Help please
Very new at this... I have 2 dishes, 1 LNB on each, a 4x2 DISEqC connected. All works fine for about an hour or so, then the TV screen goes dark.....not totally black, just dark. Tried a different receiver and same thing. Turn off receiver then back on, all ok for another hour.
Could this be a bad switch?
Thx for any help!
Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong area. .

If you are doing iks check your router settings & change the packet timing so it won't expire. Sounds like it may be set to 60 min.

To see if it is the switch.
Do you have a barrel connector where you can connect 1 dish and lnb to the receiver and see if that fixes it?
Do the same for the 2nd dish and see if that fixes it..
"IF" it does, then yes you have a bad switch.
If it doesn't,
then you need to do these things, which is standard, whenever you have a bad picture.
Check the connectors on both ends of each cable.. look inside each of the connectors and see if there is any Rust, Corrosion. If there is, cut off the cable ends and put new connectors on them.
It could also be your dish is not exactly pointing correctly also.
Let us know how the first step works out.

Could also be a Heat issue, what Rec./box are you using, and does it have a HD module installed ?
LNB maybe on it's way out.
