Default Options to get Akai Japan Public Server for BEV & Dish:

C&P by Mr Sonicview 6/16

Options to get Akai Japan Public Server for BEV & Dish:

1. If you already have a Sonicview 4000, Premier, Elite or sv8000 HD. You only need to purchase a Wizhub dongle with 16 digit 1 year warranty code. The Wizhub is the hardware you need & the 16 digit code is what you need to connect to the Akai Japan server after you install the newest bin file. The cost for this is around $89 and comes with 2 years support from Akai Japan.

2. If you already have a old ihub or newlink with your sonicview receiver you can just purchase a Wizhub 16 digital warranty code. You will then update your receiver with the newest bin file & then power it off. Plug in your old ihub or newlink and then turn the power back on in the back of your receiver. This will automatically update your ihub/newlink to a wizhub/svlan. After scanning your satellites & fixing your settings you will enter your 16 digital Wizhub/SVlan code into the network settings section of your receiver.

3. If you don't have a sonicview receiver or dongle you simply just purchase a Sonicview / Wizhub Combo which comes with the 16 digit waranty code.

The best places to buy are Satmonster.com, coolsatellite.com, amazon.com and sometimes ebay.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Thanks! I bought a 16 digit warranty code for my CW800. I screwed up. I am testing a CW800, limesat premium, nfusion pheonix, & nova. I am curious if the code will work with any of these?

My guess is no that the cw code only works for them but you might email the seller & explain the error and ask to get the right one. As hard as it is to navigate their site I suspect you won't be the only one with improper code purchased.

Great Info Surrep.... !!!!!!!

Thanks! I bought a 16 digit warranty code for my CW800. I screwed up. I am testing a CW800, limesat premium, nfusion pheonix, & nova. I am curious if the code will work with any of these

Try the CW code on the Limesat..... if you only purchased a public server access...
if you purchased... a Private or both a Private and a Public... you should be able to use the Private.. on.. the CW.. the Limesat... the Premium.. for the others.. the Nfusion SDs.. using NOI.. you should be able to connect wth those.. on Private....
With the switch to the new servers.. and none of my resources have tried it.. the Public codes are supposed to be interchangeable.. with each other... is how I read it... you know. use the CW codes on the Limesat or the Sonicview... use the Sonicview on the Limesat or the CW... or the Limsat on the CW or the Sonicview... but.. none of my resources have tried it to verify.. they are getting tired of my asking them to check things out... I think I am messing with their relaxing and viewing time...lol... txsgent

Thanks Surreptitiousss, I have been in the dark since the switch to N3, and have been clueless when it comes to IKS. Time to put the old cw800 back to some good use.

One of my resources purchased 1 code & says it works on their limesat ultra, satzen & nano p one at a time. They asked for a nano p code when purchasing.

No the dongle is not needed for true FTA but your 31" dish is on the small side for most fta sats. You'll also need a linear lnb not the same as circular ones.

Did you buy the receiver new with the serial to internet adapter or did you get it second hand? Have you ever used it with the adopter? Only the proper one will work. They have changed names but are all the same device with different s/w. Older ones can be updated. If you're not sure & it does not have a name on it you can post a picture & hopefully someone can put a name to it.
There is also a program called wiznet that you can install on your pc. It will tell you which version s/w is on your adopter. http://www.ftaconcept.com/showthread.php?t=43001
