SONICSAT (Koolsat) Ever heard of it

Okay, so a co worker of mines was complaining that he can't use his box, that he can't update it, cause the guy that sold it to him wouldn't help him, or couldn't help him. So I thought, man this is easy, let me do it, I'll update it via internet (cause he doesn't have access) and I will bring your box back to you. "You sure you can help?" He asked, "YES", I replied, cause I'm thinking I know this great site that has it all. So I got his box and behold, I've never even seen, or heard of this kind of box before. on the front it's has "Sonicsat"--bold blue letter--- and Koolsat---small bold red letters next to it. Has anyone ever heard of sure a device, and is it the same as coolsat, and is there even a fix for this. I don't see a model type, or series type any where on it. Can anyone help?

That is a clone receiver for the coolsat 4k receiver. If you use the close safe bins for those receiver you may be able to get it working. As far as the loader I don't know if we have it here.

Okay, it's a clone receiver and if I use the close safe bins it may work? Okay, What?. LOL. I don't even know what a "close safe bin" is (or where to find one). And, is it bad to have a clone reciever? What will be the next step, should I tell him to junk it and get a new one? What else can be done to get it to work or is it even worth the trouble?

Personally, I would just get rid of them since they are clones of the coolsat 4K. As you already know, currently there's no support for those receivers. Not only that but usually the clone receivers have to wait about 1 more day for the bin to be released.

No I didn't know that there wasn't any support for these kind of recievers. Thanks for the help, I really appreicate the support. I'll pass the word (and disappointment) to my friend.

It's a clone alright, the best way to get rid of the headache is trash it. Sonicsat (Koolsat). The best clone I had ever seen, is when a friend thought he was getting a good deal off of fleabay from some guy. When he received his merchandise a few days later, he called me to go see the deal he had gotten. I'll never forget it, I was LMAO... supposedly the units were suppose to be Coolsat, but when he pulled them out the box. In BIG bold letters, it said "COOCOOSAT". This is not a joke, either. You want to guess what I told him? I told him straight out, your CooCoo for buying these units. To make a long strory short, don't trust fleabay sellers... use our Site Sponsors and let your buddy know about our Site Sponsors. Good luck merric.
