why does the 800 have the intials PVR and the other receivers do not?? what does it stand for personal video receiver ??

what happened to all the post that were on here the other day? I'm sure i am not imagining it but there were more post just the other day wasn't there? and by the way i would like to contribute but if i use pay pal that directs activity to me. is there any anom way to contribute I appreciate the help and these type forums are not cheap or free to run so i don't mind throwing it some .
