What are the requirements to set up a HD receiver like the new 4000HD by Captiveworks?
Lets say i order the Turbo HD by Dish, they will set it all up for me, all i would need to do is connect the cable to the HD receiver like the CW800PVR or is it different?

A HD tv and being pointed to the right sat, no special dish needed.

If you order HD fron DN then yes they should set everything up for you. You still have to know what type of lnb and switches they used. Also you need the 8psk addon to get HD channels from DN.

None of the receivers come with the 8psk addon. You have to buy that seperately and more than likely DN has to come and install another dish for you. More than likely you have a dish 500 pointed to 119 and 110 so you are also going to need 129.

Try viewsats.com or ftapros. They should carry everything you need.

but it does say it has it, i googled and theres forums that say its the first receiver to have it installed..
check the specs! ;)
so im just gonna get the TurboHD by Dish and have them set it all up and get the cheapest package and then buy the receiver when its available... :clap

Yeah. I see that. From what I have been reading it seems that no one has done that for legallity issues. The nfusion HD was going to do it but they changed their minds. CW may be the first one to do it and not care.

Yes the CW-4000HD is the first receiver to offer both 1080p output and built-in 8psk to receive the signal! I ordered my unit and expect to receive it tomorrow!

Please take a look of the attached file; is a procedure for setup the CW4000HD according to my problems until final success. It too long to be posted.
Regards.
Note: Right now the key updates are not functioning thru the usb port; have to be downloaded from the CW ftp site and then use UPDATE, install.
