Having trouble

Ive been fighting with my unit for 4 hours. When I go into Admin the first screen has the list of options you can go to and one is "??chicago.menu.3rd_praty??" I don't recall this ever being there before. It doen't do anything and I have to hit the back button to free up the remote again. Also All I get is "channel not available". I do get the angle and nasa. I used to get the red flag on the scramble channels. I have redone the whole unit from factory twice. Any ideas would be great.

update on my problem. I just installed the old bin fix from the 15th and it is now giving the red flag key update thing. It seem my unit doesn't like the new fix.

Fixed the problem. I think the last update doesn't work. I went to another source and it works fine from them.

congrads on getting it up and running..perhaps the other sources file is similar to one of ours...have you compared the file to one of the others?

I'm not to farmilar with linux. the file that worked for me is "09-23.tar" type "BZ2" size 405kb. The one that didn't work was 438kb. I would like to learn more but I have one of those things that is alway getting in the the way called a Job and also beer after work. ha ha. ok I am looking at the two files and the one that works has 1 more file than the other. I'm going to try and find the one and put in the bad one and try to make it work.

That was way confusing. The file that is missing is called "FIX_SC"

i also loaded the 9-23 and when i did it made me lose all strength and quality.i had 91 and 82 before i loaded but nothing after.went back to 9-15 and 91 and 82 worked again.where can i get the good bin file pls?

I am suddenly experiencing media not available after 15-20 seconds of audio and video on some channels that I have never had problems with before. Video comes up and plays normally for about 20 seconds then I am getting the dreaded media not available error. Any ideas?

file posted for 09/23 doesn,t work...re-loaded 09/15 only get the first chan. I enter on bev...first time ftp site has posted a bogus file!!
