I'm attempting to connect a Dish DP 34 switch to allow me to connect a 3rd. receiver.

I have had 2 receivers connected to the Dish Network dish, using the DP Plus 110w-119w LNB. Before connecting the DP34 switch, I received good "S" and "Q" signals to the receivers that I had single coax leads to from the LNB.

In connecting the DP34 switch, I connected the coax from the LNB to the switch as illustrated on the switch, and leads to the receivers from the switch as illustrated.
In doing this, I receive echostar 7 as before but receive no signal from echostar 8.

I reconnected, eliminating the switch and both birds are normal again.

Am I missing something?

The DP34 is brand new (purchased from one of the site supporters).

I have gone to links that I've found on this site regarding switches and can find nothing that I might be doing wrong

In advance, I thank you.

I never tried dp plus LNB with dp34.. Because the DP plus has a Built-in switch on it... I have DP34 and i use Dish pro LNB type. Not DP plus.

Now to receive both 119 & 110 you have to run two cable to dp 34 sat in side.. from DPP..

Its a dish pro switch. U need a dp twin Or two duals. Either way 2 cables from the 119 and 110 ports.
