Thank you for the quick response with a fix. I downloaded it but it will not unpack correctly. Just says installed 100%. Usually say files unpacked correctly and installed/restart system. Any suggestions?

This receiver is new to me and I downloaded it from an ftp site. I don't truly understand the whole process so if you guys would like to share what you do is very benificial to me. I know it is linux based and it has a .tar extension so please give me more information. BTW this will not get tv on for me, it will not fix any problems and it will not be used to make any money. I use this information just to learn.

When downloading I save to my documents...open drop down at bottom ...All files ...downloads unzipped! Then burn to cd...install from it...saves file and can be used if old file solution is required later on. Can also download sraight from ftp site.

I get you. Thanks for the info but many of the users won't get it. I am using a windows based command promt and turn it into a zipped filed so user can download and unzip. I have never had one of this boxes and I am trying my best to get them up and going.

That is the file I uploaded but I got it from an ftp site and I turned it into a zipped file. Now that is the only way I can get it here. I have never owed one of this receivers and many users are used to downloading the zipped file, unzip it and take over from there. What is it that you do with this file?

Once it,s loaded onto cd..stick..or off ftp site you install it either externally or locally if straight from ftp site...cd and stick external setting!...hit install...it unpacks file...100% then propts you after all unpacked ok to restart unit...good to go then uploaded file ufc ...seems to be a difference in file sizes!
