mr shady's review on the neosat iPro 2000 (iks)

First off i would like to thank those who gave me the chance to test and review this new unit ! Thank-you

Here are a few added features on this unit which im sure will help many new users choose this unit!
-->USB updating
-->RS-232 cable
-->ethernet ready receiver
-->PVR ready (have not tried)
-->timers functons for favorite shows (daily, weekly, monthly,and one time only) <- nice for movie reminders
-->auto search for new transponders

I first began checking out to make sure i had received everything in the box that is supose to come with it and everything was there
-->receiver
-->remote
-->rca cables
-->4x1 switch
-->battaries
-->rs-232 cable
-->manual

So after this i began to hook up the receiver to the tv and fallowed the set-up wizard through the steps as the prompt!
-->First by language,country,time zone ect..............
-->Then the go into antenna settings which are pretty well bang on (rememeber to double check all settings)

Then I allowed it to scan all three sats i have hooked up it did a great job detecting everything and pulled in amazing amounts of channels!!!

Now i began to check out the picture quality of this receiver i have it hooked up to a Sony 46" rear projection LCD high def tv which the 2 hooked up together gives a amazing picture connected through a set of rca cables!

After this i was eager to check out the epg guide which has a nice set-up and the extened epg was nice i found it to get about 5days on d/n and 4.5 on bev which is a nice option!!!

The remote has a simple set up which is easy to navagte around on !

Here are my rating on the receiver out of 10 **********
--> Overall aperance of the receiver >>>>> 7 very sleek look
--> remote>>>>> 8 very slim and easy to use (nice having buttons hiden out of little fingers)
--> Iks feature >>>>> 7.5 very nice on loading files on the fly
--> set up progress >>>>> 8 simple enough a newbie can do it with no problems
--> epg guide >>>>>9 AMAZING extened epg love this
--> picture >>>>>8.5 crips picture and sharp for not being a hd receiver! (also tried on a non hd tv)
--> loading files via usb >>>>> 8 fairly fast for usb

My overall all rating would be 8.5 stars still some little bugs seeing that this receiver is still in beta format so i am sure once it has left beta this number would go up!!!!

Once again thank-you for letting me test this receiver and i am sure everyone will like this receiver!!
