First I would like to thank the people that allowed me to test this great box. You know who you are. Thank you once again. The neosat iPro2000 is a box capable of running on emulation and IKS. This box is also PVR ready meaning that you can get an external USB hard drive and record your shows. There are many boxes out there that are trying to become IKS but this one already comes with a 10/100 ethernet port. The first thing I did when I got this boxs was compare it to my others and the iPro 2000 is lighter but about the same size. This is how the iPro is labeled "203mhz processor with 64 mb of SDRAM Memory, 8mb of Flash Memory, and USB 2.0 drive compatibily built in. The PLUS version is our newest version with a Heatsink over the CPU for cooler operation". When I scanned my satellites I noticed that it is the fastest box I have yet used. For testing purposes I loaded version 2.94 with my USB stick and wow how easy was that! You can also load bins via null modem cable if you wish. My next step was to put in a static IP address of 192.168.1.111, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.1.1 and I also put in my dns server.
I hard wired it to my linksys router but you can also buy a wireless print server if you want to go wireless. Personally I don't like wireless networks so I just went hard wired. This box is also capable of getting an IP address via DHCP (which is easier for some people). I used my computer to ping my box and I quickly got replies (ping 192.168.1.111 -t) which told me that the iPro was online. I then checked for a new version on the server and it found 2.93 but I had the newest version installed. I take it they will have it up on the server once it comes out of beta testing. I have 4 satellites so I put in my zinwell, lnb and diseqc settings and quickly got great quality. Using the same settings on other boxes I own did not give me the same quality on the same satellites. There was a satellite which was not on the list so I added the sat myself. I used lyngsat.com to get the transponders and as soon as I put them in and scanned them, all the channels were found. All of my sats were scanned extremely quickly with the iPro. If you have a need to scan your satellites often this box will be the fastest. I have not bought an external USB hard drive yet but I will soon and post back my results. Pressing f3 on the remote will give you the option to either run on IKS or emulation. I tested both and they work just fine. I also ran a network monitor and (HIKS) does connect to two different servers through 2 different ports. I connected my box to the tv via RCA connectors and the picture quality is the best out of all the boxes I have. I also like the EPG since you have the option to update it manually when ever you wish. It is supposed to give you 8 days of epg and as far as I can see it does give you that. You can also schedule recordings via the epg but I don't have a hard drive to test this feature. If you are looking for a box
that has great support and never goes down then look no further. I give this box a 10 out of 10 because of all the features and support it has. To me the iPro 2000 is an nfusion and CW800pvr combined into one. Enough said and just like T.O. says it "getcha popcorn ready" and go get yourself one of them.
