First let me welcome you to ftaconcept. If you are having problems with your Directv subscription then you need to call Directv. Currently there's no receiver out there that can decrypt Directv encryption. There's aother providers that can be used with fta equipment but not Directv.

There are so many open channels but not directv. CW, Pansat, CNX, VS, SV, nFusion are all good receivers to own and they will open up many channels for you but nothing that has to do with Directv.

I would suggest doing lots of reading.. and research... it is a learning process.. the more you learn... the more you understand.. and the more you will know what to do..... asking which is best, is like asking, who is your favorite football team... or ice hockey team.... everyone has a favorite.. but that does not mean it is best for you..... once you have singled out... a few receivers... post questions in those forums about them.... you will get great responses... on all of them.... I am sure.... keep us posted.. good luck... txsgent
