Coolsat Dongle Files

Anybody hear any rummers about the dongle files for the Coolsat 7000 ?

Hold off on those but hopefully in the near future they will work just fine.

I haven't seen or read anything that would lead me to believe that NORW will release a dongle file for the CS7000...Most CS owners that do have access to dongle files are struggling with the dongle and not having much success...

Hang in there...hopefully you'll see something that actually works sometime soon!!!!!

I have been a member of Coolsat since Dec. 2007m and I guess that's when all the problems started. I have only been able to watch uninterupted TV, for the most one week, other than that I'm lucky to get a whold day in, I purchased 3 machines at that time, and now one of them won't even read my thumb drive. I NEED HELP. So if anyone out there has any ideas on what I should be doing, or if anyone has a magical cure let me know

Your first mistake was buying 3 of the same unit.

Unfortunately your in the same boat as most Coolsat owners....hurry up and wait.

I am not certain, but my Nuts & Volts magazine has an ad for an ethernet to serial adapter that acts as a web server. It would be interesting to see what is on the inside of one of the "dongle" units being sold for the Coolsat units.

Maybe someone could open one up and get us some pictures?

If it's the same thing, they are much cheaper if you buy them raw and make a little cable for the serial port connection. The only other thing is the programming...
