Hey there everyone well first off i need to say thanks to everyone from the mod team for helpping me choose a new receiver!
And i have moved to another receiver type not leaving the captiveworks line up i will still have one in my small collection!
My choices where from:
1-K1 heros
2-nfusoin
3-sonicview 360elite
I must say first off i did lots of reading on these units and checked out the help dissucion sections of the forum to see who's say what on each of these units!
Then i had narrowed my chioces dow to the sonicview 360elite and the K1heros. I was liking the option of the dual tunner on the 360 and liking to try out a new reciver so i was'nt too sure on which one i was going to get!
So i headed down to toronto to TRANSAT ELECTRONICS and i have to say what a nice place to shop @ they are very informative and also have great prices!!! Check them out!!!
So i went in and was looking at both units and i finally decided on the K1 heros

SET-UP
So the first thing i did when i got home was unpackage the receiver the iks hub and inspected everything and looked to make sure i ha everything i needed to get goin! So the first thing i had to due was get the ethernet cable ran down to the router (I had to drill a hole throught the floor behind the tv to the basement)
Then i unhooked the current receiver i was using!
Now i decided to go the forum here and got the instructions that Csftaforever had posted and read through them TWICE (<--always read twice NEVER once) Once i had read them over i hooked up the receiver to the tv and turned the receiver on and fallowed the prompts on the screen and loaded the third party file (<--for testing purposes only) and the receiver was very good at setting it self up for the most part! The only thing it did not setup by it self was 91w (<-- not sure why) But this was not a big deal i simply scaned it myself and everyhting went as i was supose too!!
So i began to check out differnt options on the receiver
1- The epg i found it to be pretty simple and worked good one nice touch it has changing to previous day ,next day or selecting Bev EPG or Echo EPG
2-The main menu is setup nicely not to hard to navagate through! with no real tricks to it
3-The usb feature is conviently located @ the front of the revciver nice for load via memory stick!
4- I started look at the remote and the buttons are located nicely but the remote is a little bulky for my liking
5-The Led screen on the receiver is a little small (channel numbers)

My overall rating on this unit is 8.5 but this may change either up or down seeing how i havent gotten to use the IKS feature of the unit i am only using it on stand alone at this time because the current bin is working fine!!
And i must say this is the first time i have gone into using a unit with the IKS option on it and i am excited to try the feature! And weirdly am awaitin the next ecm!!! LOL
So all and all I am goin to recommened this unit to many others looking for a new receiver @ a great price! With little to NO down time! And i also should say i had a great time talkin to the staff @ transat electronics they kno there stuff and are happy to see members of our ftaconcept coming down to there store and i am tellin you that they will treat you great if you get the chance to go into there store!
