Well I got my sonicview sv360 elite PVR
After many tests and many type of dishes and short runs and long runs I have found out this about this new receiver
10 the receiver has a great picture
2) It has a remote the works great…one of the best I have used
3) The menu is very simple to use
4) Default it shuts down the PPV that are adult
5) I tried this every way you can, off a DISEqE switch and sw32 also a sw44 and 64. Legacy,a DP, 2 dishes, loop threw, dp4 and legacy 4…and came up with works best for me is the dish 500 with a d/p for D/N
At a long distance..About 65’
Well after I got it setup for all the channels…the locals and the PPV’s plus the INT channels
It gets them all but not all will show right off..It may take up to a day to get the channels to work right
I loaded the updates (all are beta now till they get the bugs out) threw the usb front port
All you need to do that is format a thumb drive in fat 32 the copy from a folder to the drive the new file
Then make sure you reset the receiver to the stock mode and then put in the settings..Locals, channels, just the normal things like time and date
Then you go to satellite settings and set your setting for what kind of lnb you have, the switch and frequencies …I set the bird 119 first and setting the DISEqE switch to port 1 or mini A and did a full scan…then setup 110 d/p and mini b and did full scan
After all was done I did an edit of the channels that were double
All in all after I got things setup and the channels set it worked 90%..But I figured that because like I said the programs are in beta…..seeing this is a new receiver
Also for the PVR it will run the 2 ( remember I said I used the loop from 1 to 2 and also you have to setup 2..I didn’t think I had…but it needed it..I used 2 hot swap usb cages and swapped the drives when I wanted to make copies from them or they got full…it also says you can watch 2 channels at one only on PIP or use the second RCA outputs…it has only 1 s video and 1 digital audio…and does not have any analog outputs…so you have to have a TV that has those imputes…or get a convertor to get 3 or 4…or any of the UHF channels…you will need that is using a outside antennae
I like the way it looks and front panel is easy on the eye..And also in blue
One more thing I forgot was you have to leave the USB plugged in till it updates and reboots

The channels change fast….and after you add the full name fix..It will give you not just the short channel…and egp takes a bit of time to update..But I found if you go to each channel it will update that part
Ok the new fix posted today gets everything, still in beta mode..But works just as good as any of my other FTA’s
So using a D/P LNB and port 1 and a jumper from output 1 to impute 2 you get both tuners to work
Also I got over 1000 channels for both music and video
And they come in very fast..No wait time..All I have to do was getting rid of the channels that are on twice, and that is very easy..You go to the channel from the list and push the rd button..And it will ask you if you want to delete
After you have done the tweaking your can go into the menu and save your setting…also do as the readme’s say to do..Make a folder put the files in it and then copy and put in the flash stick..I said I use the one in the front to do all of my programming..It will say USBIII…and do not remove the stick till it tells you to push the blue button and you can safely pull the stick
All will work 100%...so they have got it now and I am sure they will not be using beta anymore and all should be working right and not have little problem…but I found out it like a D/P as the best setup…I have used every way possible…and also a D/P plus with a third satellite works fine also..Some FTA’s cannot do that
All in all I find this a very good receiver and also betting better with every new fix released..So the group has been releasing the programs are putting time and work into it
Here are some photos of things….I could have done a books worth…but I am giving you a idea how things look like…you will not go wrong buying a FTA like this one…they are coming out with a single tuner and also a HD receiver ( the HD may be out now not for sure yet)
But for now I put this receiver up with CW receiver for ease of use and also the video is as good as the visionsat IV200….also the remote works better than any I have ever used..Better that the IV200 because it has big buttons you can see..And you do not have to be pointing right at the FTA to get it to work..and you can also change the volume from the remote without changing over to TV to do it…I liked that feature in my IV200 and this does the same things…also the remote holds very well in your hand.
Thin is a summary of what I have found out....you could write a book in it…but this is to give you an idea if it is worth buying....and it is
