...if this has been answered...sorry...but I've been curious.
A friend of mine keeps talking about a Canadian satellite and whether the Coolsat 7100 would pick it up. I told her I had no idea, but I would ask around.
So...does anyone know what she is refering to? And if so...how can a person program those channels in?
Thanks.

Hey...thanks for the fast reply! I will investigate this further and let my friend know! Uh...if its worth it that is...what can one expect to find on 91? Or give me a link where I can find out for myself...if its only a few channels...then I'm not going to even bother.
Thanks again ufcwatcher!

Out of the 440 approximate channels, about 100 are described video and French language only. The PPV are pretty good at the standard offering, Premium channels aren't so hot (commercials thru movies), XXX has it's benifits;) and a pretty good line up of sports channels...

no such thing as a dumb question , if you dont ask on this site with all the knowledge floating around then , that my friend is dumb , alot of people love to share what they have learned ans ask that you do the same ,when you have learned then give back thats what makes it all work

Wow...thanks everyone! I am currently looking into this and going to see what I can do about setting this up. I'll have to let my friend know that she was correct, and let her know what all you have told me!
Thanks again!

Well partially right there is another also, its 82 - Nimiq 2 ,some times thought of as the HD satellite although it does have a few of the non HD stations. Just remember you need a LNB for each different Satellite you aim at, either that or a motor driven satellite. Hope this helps!!:):D

So...if I have a Dish500 I need an LNB for Charlie and an LNB for the Nimiq stuff...right? Can they be on the same dish...or do I need two of those as well?
I'm learning guys...before long...I may actually figure out what I'm doing! LOL

you would need 2 dishes, they point to a different spot,i am on the other side, just now looking into the us side of things, and yes the service is worth the time ,when its up,the charlie seems more reliable, good luck

The easy way to go to get satellites 82,92 and 110,119 is to use two dishes, each with two lnb's attached but it is possible to have just one dish with four lnb's attached and a special bracket, but this is usually for the more advanced hobbyist!! Good luck with which ever way you choose!!:D
