Wanna have lunch at the Playboy Mansion? Or how about attend the Sundance Film Festival? Well, events like these that are kind of reserved for the well-to-dos may just be attainable for the other half, thanks to a new Visa card being offered by DIRECTV.
Here's how it works: DIRECTV has teamed up with Barclays to launch the new DIRECTV Rewards Visa Card. The "no-fee" card allows users to amass points with every purchase that can be redeemed for rewards... like lunch and a tour of Hef's place (40,000 points), a trip for two to Sundance (40,000 points), backstage passes to The Tyra Banks Show (6,000) or passes to hang with DIRECTV's NASCAR HotPass crew as the season's finale in Miami (5,000 points), among other things.
Beginning immediately, DIRECTV Rewards Card holders can receive one point for every one dollar they spend. In addition, approved card members can earn 1,000 bonus points when they enroll in Auto Bill Pay with their DIRECTV Rewards Visa for their monthly DIRECTV service charges. The card offers a low introductory APR on all balance transfers for six months, DIRECTV said.
