I am new at this & my CS 7100 is in a perpetual Wait for software downloading... State.
Have turn the power off and unpluged the unit for an hour or so thenretried to reload, with same results. How do I get the unit back to square one and will that help?
Thanks,:new:new:new

Welcome to FTAConcept battjam!!!
You'll need to restore to factory and then update to most current release. You'll find the files needed here; http://www.ftaconcept.com/forumdisplay.php?f=363
Download the factory 112 and follow the instructions below...this should get you back up and running...
Go into the menu , installation, system recovery and do a system restore to factory default..
Power off the receiver from the rear switch and disconnect the coax cable leading to the LNBs.
Power the receiver back on and insert your USB stick in the USB port with the factory file and the current release copied to it.
From the main menu, go to Utilities, data transfer and transfer from USB.
Select the CS7000 112 factory file and press the red button on the remote..Let it complete all the way and restart the receiver...
Power off the receiver from the rear switch again, wait about 30 seconds and power back on. The receiver may display ---- on the front, just press the power button on the remote.
Setup the language..etc but say no to the auto detect message. Exit out to the main menu and go to Utilities and data transfer again, this time uploading the 149 file.
Wait for the loading to complete and the receiver restarts.
Turn the power off from the rear switch again and reconnect the coax cable to the LNBs
Power back on and go through the setup as though it's a new receiver...
This should get you going....Let us know how you make out!!!
Cheers

Not really sure how but it is working!!!! Thanks!!!
Thanks for the guidance, tried following all the steps but the unit still would not read/complete the upload from the mem-stick, so I tried communicating with the RS 232 cable & the loader program, but could not get my computer to communicate with the receiver. So by accident & desperation tried the whole sequence again leaving the RS 232 connection on (forgot about it) using the USB mem-stick, this time is took and I was able to upload the V112 default SW then proceed with the rest of the instruction set and I am finally running THANKS!!!
