View Full Version : 7100 will not auto detect fills from thum drive

I had a friend set up my 7100 it was working great then we got hit I tryed to put in the new patch but nothing pops up!!!! could something in the settings turn this off????

As long as the USB thumb drive is formatted in FAT32 and you have unzipped the file and copied it to the USB drive, the CS7100 should just detect the USB drive and open a new window to allow you to update the receiver....

Check that the file is unzipped and not ina folder on the USB drive. Try powering off the receiver and power back on, try both USB ports on the receiver (1 in the front &1 in the back)...

The file is in a folder I coppyed it from the folder winzip put it in on my computer the file was called unzipped I open that one then put the folder for the 7100 in it , should I be opening more folders?????

Dont put the file in a folder on the thump drive. put the file with no folder on the drive
