usb serial adapter

Should be able to but why not update via USB stick?

i need to buy a new memory stick, but i just try to put the bin via usb serial adapter and i get this error E010

Now, to tell the truth I was never able to get the USB serial adapter to work with the CW. Many others are sucessful. The error is a communications error.
