Freezing still exist.....

on Captain 7100

Most of the freezing issues are resolved, but there is still some channels that are freezing with latest bin.

Also the remote stops working after some time and I have to Hold OK & STB button for some time to make it to work.

Is any one else also experiencing the same issues? I am using the latest update.

sometimes the re will be freezing when they change teh keys back to back!!! but as said before usally a hard reboot can do teh job!

Are you suggesting hard reboot every time it freezes? I have done hard reboots several times, the freezing only happens on some channels on 6x.x bird.

The remote stops working if not used for couple hours or so.

I am using - V727 file

thats seems weird!!! try turning off for 5mins and replacing the battiers

I have the same problem and it is on a IV200..I just turn off the receiver and turn it back on all with the remote
now I don't know how many times you freeze a day ....I get it at least 5-12 times a day..but I never had a time during a movie when it will freeze....but during reg channels I get freezing

My 7100 freezes every 10-15 min on all BEV channels. Feed is coming back by itself after about 3 -4 minutes. This is with the latest file - Captain7100USB_V726_041608.bin.

The latest file is V727....

There is a work around for Remote freezing - Hold OK+STB for 10 Sec and wait for STB light to go off and remote starts working. It would be nice if there is a permanent fix for this.

I hope next file has a fix for both these issues.

I image they will take a look into this issue keep a watch for a fix it could be in the works!

I know that this is the 7100 discussion but my 7000 remote freezes following the first command given after 2 or 3 hours of inactivity. Have to wait about 90 seconds then it works or I can get off my fat a-- and power down at the power button on the receiver and power up and then I'm ok til the next extended period of not operating the remote.
Been like this since I got the Captain. Problem comes and goes with different bins

Remote problem got fixed me. It was weak battery. Interesting thing is that the battery went out (became weak) very quickly, in months time. I read it somewhere that you can use your camera phone or digital camera to test the IR signal of the remote and if the blinking of the light is not powerful then you need new batteries.

Channel freeze issue still exist, but there is an existing issue currently with few of the channels on D* and B* that are freezing for all the receivers. I guess I will wait once this gets resolved and then retest.
