IKS for Coolsat!!!

Well I guess with the advent of Captain introducing an IKS product, it was only a matter of time for others to follow suit. It would appear that Coolsat is also introducing a dongle for their newer models, with the later models to follow sometime later. Here is a C&P from Blind Scan at CS release site.

I will explain it for you all so there is no mistakes.

IKs type dongle that will work with 6100/7000/7100/8000/8100 to start with and they will get it to work with the 4/5/6 in a month or so afterwards or something else at that time. There was only 4 people in the usa that knew about it so its not hard to figure out who has a big mouth lol.

This dongle will also be made to work with other stbs such as orasat, homesat, visionsat and more to come.

Or cats out of the bag now.

Also I am currently testing on the cs8000 and so far so good. It works very well.


Now apparently this dongle is to be released on April 22, 2008.

Should be able to find out tomorrow...By what I have read this was leaked out about a week ago and now they are being very quiet about how to get the dongle, cost etc..

Things are going to get very interesting in the next few months. Can you dee the prices of the NeoSat and the NFusion dropping drastically. The NFusion really is not that great of a unit. The IKS makes it very unique. The picture and sound is ok. There are really no other additional features.

Now is the support for the 4/5K's come back with the dongle, I could really see CS get its reputation back. It all may be making sense now. Hold the support for the 4/5/6K's. Make it seem as there is no hope. Maybe the users will buy a new unit. If not, we sell them the dongle later...... Great approach....

I am still wondering if they are going to release a new bin that supports the IKS adapter. If not I guess the connectivity software must be in the adapter itself.

Glad to see more information on the IKS setup for coolsat. I have been speculating on how it works but now I am understanding it better.
