Somebody has a Coolsat 7100 PVR and a DN 722 DVR with 2 tuners. There is a DN 500 with 1 LNB pointing to 148 whose cable is going to a DN 1000 with 3 LNB's. The 1000 has 1 cable going to the receiver. The cable works fine with either the Coolsat or the 722. What switch is needed, so that both work together ? Tried a splitter, but the coolsat says no signal, also tried to put LNB power OFF on the coolsat for all the satellites with the splitter and signal comes on an off. The 722 has a simple switch to break the signal
Appreciate any advice

You need a DPP44. You have to run two lines from the 119/110 lnb to the switch, a line from the 129 lnb to the switch, and a line from the 148 lnb to the switch. Skyview is a sat dealer in US that sells the DPP44 at a reasonable price, and there also is eBay. With the DPP44 you can use a DPP separator on the single line to your 722 to feed the two tuners. A separate line is required from the switch to you fta receiver.

Is there no other way as he does not want to spoil the single cable setup that is entering the home and DN has made it like this, if the DN tech comes again and finds the cabling changed, ti won't be good. ideally he was looking for a solution to use the single cable and somehow split the signal between the DN 722 and the coolsat 7100. Will a splitter with one passive port work. The separator is already there for the DN 722
Thanks

The DN 1000.2 has a built in switch which allows 2 more receivers directly from the dish, so no extra switch is needed.

The DN 1000.2 has a built in switch which allows 2 more receivers directly from the dish, so no extra switch is needed.

The 1000.2 will allow 3 recievers and extra dp single to be added to dish for total of 4 sats.

NO switch needed as it has dp 44 built in to 1000.2...
