I have 2 Captain 7000 Premium receivers. Both have V720 loaded, one works perfectly, however the second one stays at SCRAMBLED CHANNEL. I know the connection to the dish is good as I've tried the working receiver on both TVs and it works. Everything looks good as far as loading the .bin file and aquiring all the channels, and the keys seems to be coming up, but no image. I've checked to autoroll, and I've got good S&Q. I've also tried disconnecting the working receiver from the other TV but nothing. Any ideas guys? Thanks.

I would suggest to do a fact defaul and reload see if this works for you!!! if it doesnt work @ either location then this will work be starting over!

I tried the factory default, but nothing. I even loaded the factory flash, then another factory default, then reloaded V720. Still nothing though. Is it possible the STB is fried? I'm hoping not cause it's picking up all the channels and everthing. I also checked the system settings and it's showing V720 as the software so it's taking the .bin.

if the quality is not extremly high you will not recive channels. the legit recivers seem to work at 30 to 40. captain needs over 60 to work. when you get really high quality remember to wipe channels and reload them.

My quality is around 70-80... it's picking the channels up (645 of them on BEV) but just not displaying the image. It's weird cause the identical model receiver is working great. This one here just doesn't seem to want to.

Are you using two seperiate incoming lines from your dish switchs? Or are you trying to use a splitter inside the house. you need 2 switchs one for each box because of the voltage signal that each box sends out. So a splitter will not work. Or at best you will only get the same Sat and channel on each receiver. Hope this helps.

My setup is 4 for separate receivers in the house. I have a cap 7000 and 8000, will these two not work together as well?

How have you got all this connected? Give us details on your setup including hardware, LNB type, switch type and how the receivers are connected to the dish/LNBs. We'll be a much better position to help with this info!

Thanks guys. I've got two seperate lines running from a dual LNB to two seperate tvs, no splitter, no switch. Using Nimiq1. I've disconnected both receivers and tried the one that isn't working by itself at both locations and still nothing. I've tried the working receiver at both locations and it rolls with no problems.

On the receiver that is not working...are you sure you have it set NTSC and you are using the correct cable setting for output to TV? A few last minute thoughts!

LNB is good cause the one receiver works perfectly when it's hooked up to that location. All the settings are identical the the working STB as well. Can't be NTSC cause all the menus and everything are fine so it's got a good video output. Plus it's saying scrambled channel.

Then I would reload factory file and then fatory reset..power off from rear switch...load factory another time, power off, then load most recent release setup sat and scan for channels once more...
Something is corrupt!!

Tried your suggestion... stilll nothing. I am starting to think this receiver is cooked. It's weird though cause everything seems ok (.bin is loading, channels are scanning, etc...).
