Hey guys, I'm new here, and I've been having trouble with some of the releases for this unit. Most of the time, the file downloaded from this and other sites extracts to a single .tar.bz2 file.

Every once in a while, however, the file extracts to a .tar.bz2 file as well as install.sh. I have checked the previous releases, and the .tar.bz2 file actually contains these two files.

It seems if I had linux, I could simply create a .tar.bz2 from these 2 files. Is there a way to do this with the cw-3000? Am I missing something here? I've asked on other forums, but nobody seems to even use this unit, or they just wait for a release in the right format.

Try out one of our files here!! And see how it works for you unzip the file using winrar to put it to a BIN file! This should help, i have not gotten to use one of these units yet but wouldnt mind i am a captiveworks fan so i know this unot is FULLY LOADED!

As I said, I have this problem not only with files from other sites, but this site as well. The downloads are quite often in different forms.

I have other units as well. I have never had any problem like this for any other unit. The problem is, I have never talked to a single other user of this unit. I therefore do not know if this is a problem specific to my setup or not. Please, anyone with this unit, chime in!

The 3000 expects a .tar.bz2 file that contains 'install.sh' and another '.tar.bz2'. Alot of forums don't allow posting .bz2 files so some people think they're being helpful by using a program to decompress the file the 3000 needs into the two files you see. If you have a program that will take those two files and make them into one '.tar' file, you're half way to solving your problem. After you make the '.tar' file you need to compress it into bz2 format. I believe peazip ( a free WinSucks program) will handle both steps.
