coolsat 8100hd used a null cable to clear got all 0000 but got stuck there. can not get reciever to load factory flash file have tryed clicking start and turn on from the back switch didn't work. then tryed click start when it said please wait. didn't work. also tryed usb flash stick with file renamed -swcode.sgn that didn't work. can some one please help so i can get back into the menu.remote will not work as is. i have used a ohlm meter to check the cable and 3 and 4 pins are crosed thanks ever so much for any help it is stuck on loading s/w

First..Welcome to FTAConcept!!!
Second, please post questions in the discussion area...this was posted in the files only area....I'll move it for ya...other might have just deleted the post.
Now to your problem....download the clear sw file found here: http://www.ftaconcept.com/showthread.php?t=7666 and use that on the receiver first. Then load a factory file and then latest release.
Timing is everything here, so you may have to attempt this a few times. Setup the loader with clear sw file and connect you PC to the receiver. make sure you have the correct COM port selected in the loader. Press and hold the start button in the loader. Turn the power on from the back of the receiver and at the first sign of power on the front, let go of the mouse button holding the start button of the loader.
if successful, you'l be able to load the factory and latest release.

i sure do appericate all the help. this is a great site. but that didn't work. still can't get out of loading s/w testing cs5k cs6k cs61private nfusion. all up and runing no preblem. this cs8100 was up untill file went out so i run the clear and got all 0000 and now can't get it to take anything .thanks cmar

You now have to load the factory file...follow the instructions in this thread...your issue is basically the same...these steps do work...it may take you a few times to get the timing just right, but they do work!

YOU ALSO RENAMED YOUR FILE WRONG ,SHOULD READ _sw_code.sgn
