New, Please help

Hey, I just got a Coolsat 7100 from one of my friends to try. I hooked it up to my already existing BEV dish so I know it should work. Problem is it hasn't been used in a while and I keep getting a check your model number error message whenever i try downloading a bin file straight from my flash drive.

As you can tell I have never done this before. Any advice besides shooting myself in the face b/c i am so stupid?

Never mind. The model number was apparently changed by my dumbass friend. It says 7100, really is a 7000. Got it working!

Also he is no longer my friend!
